Welcome  to the website for the county athletic association!

Postponement of the next Committe Meeting.

The Glos AAA Executive Committee meeting scheduled for this Friday, 19th June 2020 has been postponed.   The meeting will now take place on Friday 17th July 2020.   This decision has been made as the Government are expected to make more easing of lockdown statements on 4th July along with other measures possibly easing.   It is also possible that the athletic authorities will make announcements early in July which will impact on our activities.   As there is a possibility that we may be able to meet face to face in July rather than arranging a Zoom meeting (with its inherent time constraints) it was felt prudent to hold off meeting for a little longer.   Should we find the need for additional discussions then we always have the option of scheduling a committee meeting in August as well which should help us cope with any necessary business as we look to get the sport back in action.   We have received no replies from clubs regarding the proposed changes to the cross-country league rules so this postponement may well allow for better discussion of the proposals ready for everyone to discuss once we are able to meet up.   The league itself is not likely to commence until November time so there is not the same need for early decisions on this important subject.   We have already received a couple of additional proposals on other matters ready for our next meeting so if anyone else has anything they would like added to the agenda please let me know.
