We rely on volunteers and can not promote events without their help. If we have lots of volunteers the roles do not become onerous and if we have enough  you won’t feel guilty when you are not helping.

Many of the jobs involve very little commitment especially if where there is only one function.  Many can be completed by  young athletes or their brothers and sisters.

Even doing these tasks for a couple of hours is helpful.

Longer term roles are:
 

• Prepare the agenda and take minutes of the 4 committee meetings a year
• Order, store and distribute to race directors and meeting manager about 1000 medals a year
• Help – it can be unqualified – at the finish of the 4 cross country races we promote ( or become qualified).
• Help at the county track and field championships as a qualified official
• Possibly needed  next year :  Use, as part of a team, IT skills to  operate photo finish

The series table has been updated with the Fairford 10k results.

The next race in the series is the Dave Lucas Memorial 10k, Tue 14th July. This is a county championship event.

There are one or two medals that have not been clamied so if you see your name amongst the medallists and have not clamied your medal, please get in touch.

Gloucestershire AAA will publish your personal Information as part of the results of the events organised by the association and may pass such information to the governing body or any affiliated or associated organisation for the purpose of insurance,first or medical aid, licences (including disciplinary purposes) or for publishing results either for the event alone or combined with or compared to other events. Data may be used to select entrants to represent GAAA and will be shared with organisations arranging those events. Results may include (but not be limited to) name, any club affiliation, race times and age category.
